Civic project troubles

Ok, I just purchases a 88 civic hatch, i got it for 400 bucks canadian, which i figure is a good deal. It has driver side front end damage from a collision. Engine still runs, and i can borrow parts off a friends part car, same year model and color, so far i have stripped the driver side fender, light/housing, bumper, hood, etc. Now on my car some of the front end supports are bent(not exactly sure of the name, but the pieces that go around the headlights etc) , will i have to cut them off my friends car, and weld them on mine?

Second when driving the car, if you turn the wheel and press the throttle, a rather loud clicking/knocking sound comes from the front passanger side of the car, would this be the cv? or what? Thanks for any help you can give me, its greatly appreciated.

the clicking.. yes its most likely your axle... as far as the radiator support (i think thats what your talking about) it should unbolt and then u just bolt in the un damaged one.

Well i took the bolts off it, but it wont come loose, its like it is attached to the bottom piece of steel. I dunno, and i dont really want to experiment with prying it off if it really doesn't come off. I just dont know why it has bolts if it doesnt come off...ya know?

it shoiuld come off, it may have hidden bolts that you cant really see unless you look real hard or there may be seam sealer where the two pieces of metal meet (if thats the case a screwdriver and gentle prying will seperate it.)

the part u r talking about IS welded. y it has bolts in it i don't know. I was stripping down a CRX and came across the same thing. took all the bolts out and it still didn't budge. upon further investigation i found it is welded also. the only explination i can offer is that the bolts act as an extra measure. like in case the weld breaks or won't allow the over flexing of parts to distort the structure. who knows wut honda's intentions were, but it is welded.

ya i just figured that out lol. Guess ill have to cut it out and weld it in, ah well, would have been easier to bolt it in :( . Thanks for your help once again.
