Has anyone had trouble getting air out of your cooling system after a thermostat change? Mine is going on over a year and after you shut the engine off you can place your hand on the top hose and feel it pulsing with the air coming up and you can hear the heater core gurlge sometimes.

From what i have heard that means your heater core is pluged an you need to replace it.

Has the intake gasket been changed? The correct intake gasket has a orface hole in the back water jacket crossover on both gaskets. Check your radiator cap and reservour (?) also it should purge itself of trapped air. I used a vortec block with the TBI heads on my 90, this will not work and be able to run a thermostate. There is a hole in the front of the block on the passengerside below the lower water pump mounting hole that is not drilled on a vortec block it connects to a hole in the block deck that passes water thru to the head. Water will not circulate correctly on the passenger side head causing this head to run hot and other noises and problems will arise. Been there done this, its not fun.
