I was at Paragon this weekend and the most amazing them happened. You see, I was backing out of a trail and this crazy suicidal tree jumped behind my truck and broke my tail light :D .
Ok, that's not what happend, I just didn't see it in the blind spot and backed right into it :bloated: .
Xterraparts.com wants 100 bones for a new tail light. Has anyone found them cheaper. I looked on e-bay and I didn't see any, just front corner lights. I don't care if they are clear, I'll probably break one of them again eventually.

that suks. the dealer has got you by the ass and they know it too. have you tried a boneyard? you just might get lucky. i remember years ago my wifes car was parked by the airport and got the right rear window shot out by a bb gun. it was a bad neighbourhood. i called the local salvage yard and got a price on the glass. 80 bucks! for a used window! later that day just for the hell of it, i called the dealership. 48 dollars! go figure. its usually the other way around. needless to say i went to the dealer.

Part numbers:
26550-7Z025 RIGHT SIDE $93.46 plus shipping for each
26555-7Z025 LEFT SIDE
I got that price from http://www.nissanparts.cc/
They usually have the cheapest prices.

Which side? I picked up a RR one on Ebay a while back figuring one of these days I'll do the same, but I might be persuaded to part with it for a tad more than I paid.

It's the drivers side (LR), thanks for the offer Brent. I figured the dealer would be lining up behind me to give me one where it hurts, but I figured I'd take a look around first.
I'll check my local dealer, maybe I'll get lucky. If not I'll order it from nissanparts.cc and bend over for the immediate rape.

I paid $141.00 for a replacement tail light a while back. They said it costs so much because it was an all-in-one unit - not divided into sections. It was pretty easy to fix though. I also has to buy a bumper corner which was pretty cheap. Changed them both out in like 15 minutes. I'm just glad that the plastic rear bumpers aren't all-in-one.

Installing the tail light isn't the problem, it was getting that hatch open so I could remove the taillight from the other Xterra that parked in the same lot..... j/k :D
I'll end up ordering it from xterraparts.cc since they have it for 93 and change. I picked up the big pieces and ductaped them back in place so the light is completely covered except for the side, so the light is the right color and doesn't blind anyone. It just really pisses me off to pay 100 bones for a taillight, what a rip.
Well, I played... guess it's time to pay.:(
