Does anyone know how to disable these lights but still have the turn signals operational. I've found they don't illuminate when you start the car if the parking brake is engaged. As soon as the parking brake is disengaged they illuminate. I've also found that the White w/blue tracer wire conected to the bulb operates the marker light and turn signal. The purlpe wire, I have no idea what it does. The other is the ground. Thanks in advance for any help.

On some GM vehicles you can disable the DRLs but the Intrigue is not one of them.

Wiring? Can't help you there.

I realize this is an old question but I will try to help, maybe someone else will find their answer here.

If the front center amber lights being on all the time bother you like it did me, not to mention that they will eventually cook (cloud) the clear lense:

Open the passenger side door, on the very side (edge) of the dash there is a panel, pull this panel off, I had to get a large channel lock plier, opened all the way and use just top jaw to hook under the hole provided and give a good yank to get the panel to pop off. The diagram on the inside of the panel and page 6-57 of the owners manual needs to be turned upside down to match the fuse panel, (why GM?) pull the 10A fuse, 2nd column, 6th row to disable the DRL. You won't have the 2 large glowing amber lights in the center of the front light array on all the time anymore. You will still have your front turn signals at all times. You will now have to turn your headlights on manually I would guess as I did this in my garage.
