Hi guys...I'm trying to make up my mind on which one to buy....I am curerntly looking at 02 models of both cars (haven't tested the A4 yet) and I was just wondering which one to get...some of the reviews I've read describe the A4 like a problem car while other say it is great...Couldn't find really bad reviews on the 330Xi....

Any hint or suggestion would be appreciated...thank you guys

My mechanic, who is a foreign car specialist, runs his business in an area where a great portion of his clientele used to be gangsters and drug dealers. He has since weeded out the good customers from the bad, but during those days he worked on a high number of exotic cars. I too, was considering an A4 (for a day or two, ha ha!). But he steered me away from Audi's; his opinion was that they had too many mechanical and drivetrain issues, also citing a higher maintenance cost than my 325i. His main point to me was that I need not look further than the advantage of my BMW's inline 6cyl motor. This of course doesn't mean that Audi's suck, since Bimmers come with their fair share of problems. Anyhow hope this insight helps, for whatever it's worth:smile:

i own a 330 xi (2003) and have 61,000 miles on it and can report that it is a very capable all wheel drive monster. I've had the pleasure of passing a range of trucks, suv's, and other all-wheel drive cars on my upstate to go boarding. As far as choosing and Audi or Bimmer it's a toss up, Audi's are more than capable w/quatro in the foul stuff and they're well built. I went w/B.M.W. and am happy, except that the dealer is always try to make money of any service and be sure to get a extended warranty 'cause you will pay through the nose for any part and service.
