Bad day

Today has got to be the worst day in a long time. My husband came home early yesterday. I kinda stayed up his ass, gettin in the much needed quality time. Well, he kept me up till around 2 am. We ended up passing out in the living room. I wake up around 8 am. I get up and start to make some coffee when I suddleny remember, oh shit I need to get my daughter ready for school. Mind you it is a 25 min drive to school from my house, and school starts at 8:15. I run in her room and I step on her damn barbie doll, limp to her bed and get her up. I lay out her clothes and tell her to get dressed. She takes her sweet little time, the whole time I am trying to rush her. Around 8:30 she makes it into the living room. I tell her to get her shoes on while I go to the bath room. I come out and her daddy turned on the cartoons. You can not let her watch toons and expect her to do anything. At this time I am allready stressing out. I get her shoes and put them on her feet. I brush her hair ect... then run out the door. We are allready late for school when I notice the heat gage on the car is starting to over heat. I think well shit. I turn on the heat in the car full blast and roll down the windows. I made it to her school, and dropped her off. I went to my parents store and parked the car. I let it sit for a while, then I poped the hood. My freaking water pump is dripping water. Well fuck. My grand prix did the same thing a month ago. Now it is sitting in the drive way waiting to be fixed. I all ready baught the gaskets and water pump, but it has been raining, so I cant fix it yet. Now my husbands car is doin the same. Once the car cools off I put more water and anti freeze in it. I make it home ok. I tell my husband what was goin on. Then I get this call, it is my mother in law wandering why I aint at work yet.. I forgot that I had to be at work at 9. I am late. Well I head towards to her house And realize that I am out of gas. The car dies on the side of the high way. Well fuck will it ever end. I look in the trunk to get the gas can, oh no my hubby took it out of the car. I walk to the gas station around the corner and barrow their gas can. But I forgot my money to pay for the gas. I talk them into letting me pay them after I get off work. I make it to work finaly.....

Man....I hope things will improve this afternoon!

Sounds like there's 2 water pump repairs in your future....or a couple jugs of water in the car @ all times anyway.

Cheer up bucko. I think i remember seeing pictures of your kids in another post. When they get home look at the little boogers, they are too cute and looking at them has to cheer you up. Squeeze the youngins, kiss your hubby. You had a bad day, youve got things to be thankful for like your family. Cars can be fixed. Hope the rest of your day goes better and if it doesnt then you can always come back here to bitch about things. Doesnt it make you feel better?

sivic, I feel better all ready. You mentioned my children, and thinking of there faces makes me smile. Thank you soooooo much. I have the stuff to fix my car. I allready started to take the heads appart, then it started to rain. It hasent stopped long enough to finish the project. I will get it done sooner or later. My hubby will have to deal with his on his own. Ok if it comes down to it I guess I will buy his water pump after I get off work. It did tear up while I was driving.

It did tear up while I was driving. It will be o.k. You know. my car tears up rarely. But when It does it because i drive real bad/rough/fast. I understand.

Considering the fact that you posted this at 8:30 and in less that 5 hours 7 complete strangers respond trying to cheer you I'd say your worst day is still not all THAT bad. I say call a babysitter, drag hubby to a nice dinner/night out, maybe a movie, then go home to a quiet house and make out like a couple of teenagers in the back seat of his dad's 68 fastback all night and call the day a wash.
