Hi, i have a 82 fuel injected rabbit and i want to convert it to use a carb. on it. What would i have to do to do this. This is strickly a work vehicle, and i don't worry about passing a emmission's test because our county doesn't have them. thanks

Find a carbureted intake manifold, mechanical fuel pump & eliminate the electric pump.

thanks for responding to my question. now what about the ports on the head for the fuel injectors, will the manual fuel pump mount in the same spot as the control pressure regulator, do i need to change or eliminate any wires. any advice will be appreciated....thanks again

the mechanical fuel pump will mount on the side of the engine. there should be a cover plate near the distribuitor and the oil filter, remove this cover and install the mechanical fuel pump. don't know about the injector holes, but if you have cis maybe you could get a machine shop to make some plugs (or maybe you could cut the hoses that go to the injectors and put plugs there). just remember that whatever you do needs to be air-tight. you may also want to make sure that your ignition distribuitor is of the mechanical advance variety.

There is a plastic plug that screws into the head & holds the injector. I suppose you can remove it & put a plug in there.
