ok my oil pressure gauge is not working at all. I have no idea what the problem could be and I have read in my Chiltons that you have to remove the whole steering colum in order to look at the gauges. I was thinking about puting glow gauges in my car but if thats the case I'm not. But I can't even think of a solution why the oil pressure gauge isnt working.

Are you sure you have oil pressure? I had a friend who decided for no good reason that the reason his gauge wasn't reading was the gauge was broken. The oil pump was the real problem and he lost his engine. The next thing I would look at is the oil pressure sender that is attached to the engine ( I don't know where on a non-turbo). It's more common for the sender to go bad then the gauge itself. Aside from that It could be a wire or the gauge.

Thats called making an ASSumption. I would check the wiring to the sender first, then the sender itself. They are only ~20 bucks and easy to change. As mentioned above, its very unlikely its the guage itself. Not much can go wrong with it.

yea check the senders. the plugs break on them. and btw the dont need to remove the whole steering colum to get to the guages.
