Starting Problems

Hi all, newbie alert :grinyes:

I have several cars (company)
and only rarely get time to take my toy out 1990 big bumper 8v gti with 2 ltr block!
If left for a week or so i have real problems starting the old girl, the battery is fine, the leads seem ok it rotates ok but no starting does anyone know of a common fault with these injectors? alternators? soleinoids?

Are you getting spark, do you hear the fuel pump run for a second when you first turn the key to on position?
