It's just not fair, I mean it really sucks. I swear this is a sign telling me that the end of the world is near. What's wrong?? My truck.....I cry talking about it man.....I have to....... (sigh)..... PARK IT. Yes, it's true. I am parking my truck. Not because it isn't running, in fact, it runs like a bat out of hell. No, it's not because I have another ride (unless public transportation counts). Did I wreck it?? Yeah, about 8 months ago, still not fixed but still driveable. Why must it be parked?? Because the world is out to get me. That and the cops in about 4 or five counties. No, I'm not wanted for a crime. TICKETS......and not the kind for some type of event. TRAFFIC TICKETS. I have gotten so many now that I don't have insurance, no drivers license (expired and think I got warrants), no regestration (no insurance-unable to renew.....5 months ago). Does God haveth no mercy? I don't know if I'm gonna be able to make it through ya'll, pray for me......I NEED MY TRUCK.......MY TRUCK NEEDS ME....IT'S JUST NOT FAIR

Dude! How old are you? I had 23 Moving violations from age 16 to 20. Lic. suspended more times than I care to count. Was I Uninsurable..yes, Did I Fail to appear for some of the Traffic citations...yes, Did I get three speed exabition tickets in one month..You bet your ass I did (April 1989),have I been in 13 traffic accidents in my life?....yes (not all my fault just 5 where my fault),Did I drive while lic. was suspended...Hell yes! But now I have the cleanest DMV driving record you can get, I never did any hard time in jail. And guess what? My driving habbits have not changed very sinificantlly. So what does this all mean? I don't know...just thought you should know I have out done you on the bad driver/luck issue.

Maybe defensive driving would be in the best for you, but REALLY pay attention. Sounds like you need to slow down. Sucks you can't drive your truck, but you did it to yourself.

Defensive driving? Please, I helped write the book. Out of all the tickets, only one is for speeding by the way. A year ago, I was driving 250+ miles a day delivering auto parts. I used to be BAD with road rage but throughout that time, my whole attitude and perspective changed about operating a motor vehicle. For one, I realized that I really like the people who jump lanes, merge at the very last second, cut people off, run through yellow lights, and all other forms of aggressive driving that most people hate. Yes, I said I now like these people. Why? Two words: JOB SECURITY
I've preferred driving a truck as opposed to a sports car since I started driving because trucks still have powerful motors (they can anyway), yet they aren't designed to be the fastest thing around town so my philosophy was that I woukd blend in better as I hauled ass around town. Well, I still prefer driving a truck (for the power for the right reasons), but in town I cruise the speed limit +/- 2 miles per hour. I figured out I can catch almost evry light I approach this way. So I'm now the guy everyone speeds around, honks at, flips off, etc as they HURRY up to WAIT at the next light. And as they start letting their engine work its way back up to speed, here I come rollin' with the cruise control on in a 35 mile an hour zone right next to the same geniuses that flew past me.
Yet they fly past me again , giving me the same look all over again while I never once use my brakes.
JOB SECURITY
In 2 yrs I put 100,000 miles on my truck. Just barely changed brake pads for the 1st time, replaced my fuel pump about 2 months ago, suspension needs some work (only due to expedited wear due to an accident almost 2 yrs ago); other than that, basic routine maintenance is all I have done. Well, some cosmetic modifications have been done but.............
For the record: I am certainly NOT proud of the fact I have to park my truck because of all the tickets I keep getting. As a matter of fact, I am trying to do the right thing and not be hypocritical. I can't stand people that drive without insurance. That is why I am parking it because I don't want to hate myself. Sorry if it sounds like I'm preaching and/or defending myself. All I'm really trying to do here is vent a little. It's making me depressed seeing my truck just sitting there, as I walk to the bus stop. In a way I think it's pathetic. But maybe it's for the best.
