a/c

Hi,
I have a 2000 gmc sierra v6. My a/c never turns off. the a/c button light goes off, however, if I turn the fan on, whether it is on outside air or recirculated air, the a/c comes on. If any one has had this problem or any one with a solution can help me please do. thanks, nick

I know when my heat is on a defrost setting, the
compressor will keep coming on, as I undestand
it's supposed to, to dry the air. Might not be your prob.
but I've seen alot of inquiries about the compressor activity.
