I just bought a 3000gt sl and was forced to get a new exhuast because my stock one rusted away.
I just got a new front pipe, high flow cat and Borla cat back.
What should i do next? I'm having a hard time finding performance parts for this car. I think the next thing i want to do is a short throw or intake.
Any suggestions?

Replace that high-flow cat with a testpipe, get an open element air intake (CAI if you want but atleast open element). Then a lightened pulley (I reccomend them over underdrive pulleies because simple lightened ones don't underdrive your accesories), get some lowering springs (since you're n/a; get coilovers because Eibach's or Intrax aren't going to give you much of a drop) and you should have a good start. How many miles on your car? Judging by the fact that your exhaust had rusted away I'm guessing quite a few so you might benefit from some new plugs and wires, then some other suspension stuff to help you out with some handling (plus, you'd probably already need new shocks and struts with teh coilovers anyway). That should be a good list to start you out. Good luck.

If you go completely solid, it's gonna be a bitch to daily drive. Poly mounts are the way to go ;)

Wow, I never knew about that. How when you take off and you feel your whole front just lift up.. but you can solve that from solid motor mounts? Where can I go to check prices or whatever about this.
