Hey guys and gals!
Post a list or pic (or both!) of your models that you haven't built yet. I realize that his could be quite a long list for some of us, but I'm a relative newbie so my list is only four long (two will be added shortly):
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/264942waitingmodels.jpg
I know this picture is really shoddy, but here are my models waiting:
Fujimi Honda Integra Type R
Tamiya Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
Fujimi Nissan Silvia Spec R (S15) Garage Defend
Hasegawa Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR Rally of Canberra Winner
Two to be added soon are:
Tamiya BMW Z3
Fujimi Fairlady 280Z
(Also in the picture you can see my two sets of aftermarket rims: Fujimi O-Z Racing NOVA's and BBS 18" rims)

Most of mine can be seen here:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/kris/kris/+junk/sigboxest.gif
Then add to that:
Hasegawa Ferrari 348ts
Tamiya Subaru Impreza WRX STi
Tamiya Subaru Impreza WRC Arai
Tamiya S2000 Type-V
But, the first S2000, the WRX wagon, the Testarossa and the Integra have all been started... ;) They just are taking a while... :p

There are too many that I should spend my time building instead of compiling the list. :)
At least 20 Porsches, 20 Ferraris, 20 Jaguars, many RX-7s, many Zcars, tons of F1 and Group C racers...

Man, i thought i was special when i had two Master Grade Gundam models waiting for me to build awhile ago :)...
Anyways, i have *NONE* waiting for me to build seeing how i couldn't really drive anywhere from Jan til April because i totaled my mothers 91 240SX(not the fastback, the one with the spoiler), it was in great condition too.
Any of you guys willing to sell any of your kits?

Hey PKw1
I noticed you have a Fujimi Golf GL kit, sitting under the red prelude kit in your collection. the kit has been discontinued , and i've been looking for one for like 2years, and HLJ doesn't seem to have any. Would you be willing to sell it? Or is there anyone else with a golf model made by fujimi they are willing to sell?!
ps. i already have the current generation golf, made by tamiya, i want the previous generation 93-99
thanks

What's the matter to keep so many boxes if you have no time to build it?
I don't know how to get rid of my 4 untouched boxes 'cause i'm moving
but have 10,20,40 of them?

Most of mine are almost finished and I just got burned out on amarican cars. Most of them I got in diffrent stages of being done at thrift shops for like 1 or 2 us dollars and will most likely be parts for something that I will build later on.

Unfortunately, I am gonna keep it. I have most of the parts painted, but I still need to decide on the final body color. At first I tried to replicate the BMW green, then the BMW metallic red, but neither color was right. I think I am going to paint it silver.
Sorry! But I will keep a look out for one. Both Revell Germany and Tamiya sold the kit. In the UK, you might be able to find the Tamiya one, which is slightly better because Tamiya took the kit, which was made by Revell and added better tires and corrected instructions.

I believe it made in Japan, but from Revell molds. I discovered that after building both a Revell-Germany and Tamiya BMW 325i. These are the only reboxed kits I think tamiya has done!
The 850i started out as a Revell-Premium kit, which is extremely detailed, much like a Fujiimi enthusiast kit. The 850i model has a hinged engine cover, full engine, chassis, and interior detail. It also has an opening trunk. Its a great kit, but of course the molds aren't as good as a Tamiya kit and some details need correcting, like the lack of scribe marks for a sunroof. Also, fit can be a problem sometimes. The Tamiya re-boxed version is no exception, but Tamiya probably showed corrections to be made in the instructions, just like they did on the BMW 325i.

I searched hard for BMW 325 but didn't find one... Revell wheels and tires are crap. Have Tamiya had better wheels included?
BVC500

unfortunately no. the tires are better, as are the decals and instructions, but thats it.
The wheels on the 850i are correct, just not molded neatly.
The wheels on the 325i are bad. They resemble BMW wheels, but aren't correct.

modelfan1, you have such funky display cases man... were they all custom built?
The clear cases are from stores that sell cheap jewelry in cases that sit on the counter. I get them when stores are going out of business, then strip out the insides and make my own shelves. The round shelves are 12" pizza pans and separated by wooden dowels.
What is your current plans, as your pretty quite on the building side.
I've been in a builders "block" for a year or so but I'm coming out of it now ! Revllogram's new '40 Ford convertible is in the process of having a new engine built up and installed. As for room I've still got plenty,my ex said it was the cars or her (I don't miss her at all)but I still have about 30 old built ups waiting for repair from moving and no place to put them YET !:bandit:

Altogether about 260 unfinished. This is what is in the model-room closet, about 170. There are many more in storage. My collection (I really don't "collect", I build... eventually!) includes 6 aircraft models, 2 motor-bikes, 3 customer cars, and many more built cars. I've been at this for about 30 years

It's all a plan; If there is a thermo-nuclear war and I survive...I'll have something to do!!:thinkerg: :thinkerg:
In reality, I've got kits I've been gathering for over 20 years in there. If you look closely you'll see some rare stuff, old stuff, and little of this and that. I used to build American muscle exclusively but have broadened my horizons over the past few years.
I have four 1/8 scale cars (2 Camaros, 1 '79 Trans Am, and 1 '82 Corvette) that I'm saving along with three 1/12 scale '69 Camaros. I will build them when my machine shop is usable. I already have a miniature metal lathe and a CNC-equipped milling machine is on the way but I won't have them ready to go until my new house is finished...

Did you ever see the Twilight Zone episode "The Bookworm"? I can just see Murco going out of his house after a thermonuclear explosion, then going back inside and finding out all his styrene has been melted... :D j/k

I just picked up another 1953 Ford Street Machine pickup. Got it at a thrift store for $3.00 us dollars and it is all there. Can not decide if I will build it box stock or try and customize it with weels and tires. I keep adding to the list before I finish one.

:crying: :crying: :crying: Damn it just pains me to see so many models waiting to be built.........:crying:
I have a total of 0 waiting, why?
1. I only have $1700 in the bank and models are REALLY expensive in NZ
2. I have too much bloody schoolwork
3. I am saving all my "Modellng energy" for a Revell ITR when I finally find one in our under-stocked model shops:mad:
