hi, i am building an 1/8 corvette, and an 1/12 skyline. I am trying to add working headlights on them, but i am having trouble trying to find the bulb. Can anyone tell me where to get bulbs that little? I live in California, US, thanks

Yes get either, 5mm or 3mm Leds, they should do the trick. I cant think of anything else really. There are actual bulbs that small the non-leds. But they eat battery like crazy. your better of with Leds.

....and the real bulbs will generate some heat and could get you into trouble melting the plastic. That's also one of thoose things I've learned the hard way. With a led you will get bright light without the heat.

If you want an incandecent look, and can design for the additional heat, Maglite replacement bulbs look really good. But, you wouldn't want to leave them on- they would work fine for 15 seconds or so at a time, while you set up and shoot pics of it.

aoshima make kits for head and tail lights plus side "blinkers" or "indiators" as we call the in the UK, also in the UK there's a company www.maplin.co.uk (http://www.maplin.co.uk/) they have loads of different LEDs from big round red ones to tiny bright white ones, try www.theledlight.com (http://www.theledlight.com/) for international orders.
