spark plug firing order

I got a 92 mazda 626 5speed. I took the spark plugs out to replace them and forgot the order. Everything I try makes my engine smell like burning rubber. Anyone know the firing order? I'm out of work until I figure this out...

it shouldn't matter what order u put the plugs back in, so i doubt the burning rubber smell is from putting the plugs in different spots. the firing order is 1-3-4-2.
