Help with door handle

Hey everyone. My driver side door handle broke. The part that holds the cylinder attached to the wire that opens the latch(the knee bones connected to the.....) has split so it no longer pulls the cable. I called the dealer, they can install it. for $200. And the part only costs $43. What would I need to do to get it done in my garage? Or better yet, How would I go about replacing it myself?
