I just bought a 97 teggy, pertty stock so now i want to lower it
but i dont want to rip my cv boots again like i did with my last car
My Question: Is there any way to prevent the CV boots from ripping? Or will the eventually rip and start making that horrible clicking noise again?

no way to really prevent them from tearing. Once you lower your car you change the angle the axle sits at so it'll have a little increased wear and tear than if you had left it stock height inevitably.

CV boots crack and split no matter what. Replace them and re-pack with grease asap. If you do that your axles could last the life of the car.
