:2cents:Just my 2 cents but anythings possible including going to a Series II 3800 supercharged engine in a '97 Century if you are willing to spend the time, effort and money to do so. I'm assuming currently you have a 3.1L V6.

You should have a 4T65E autotransaxle (tranny) so that should not be a problem, it will mate up to the 3800 engine. However, the SC 3800 has a heavy duty version of the 4T65E tranny. Plus I don't think your existing torque convertor is the same. You need to make sure the stall speeds match because the 3800 especially with a SC has a lot more torque and horsepower. The final drive ratio is different and output gears beefier.
And I believe that the 4T65E HD tranny has a different PCS - pressure control solenoid. Basically, if you go to the SC 3800 you will need the 4T65E HD tranny to go with it.

The ECU/PCM are not programmed the same and will need to be swapped out along with possible electrical/wiring harness considerations because of the addition of the supercharger and is sensors, etc. Although the Century's engine substructure and chassis are similar to the Regal you will probably need the engine mounts for the 3800 engine. Cooling would also be another consideration.

Hope the info helps. Good luck!

Thanks a lot, but listen what if I get complete tranny, engine, ecu, should not be a big deal to do that right? Sorry don't want to get into the details, but I'm really up to building the ultimate sleeper ))

I just love to imagine Century with the beefed up 3800 SC engine. People would go crazy seeing 160HP car flying by. I don't care, I'll do w/e it takes to put that engine in.
