Noise Box

i was looking through an ebay auction that was sellin T3/T4 exhaust manifolds and they mentioned something called a noise box that you remove and it makes your spool up sound alot louder. ive never heard of a noise box though. are they refferring to the lower intercooler pipe silencer? they said it makes your turbo spool sound really loud once removed. just wondering about this.

Are you talkin about the "box" right before the SMIC? it's black and is about 4"X8"X2" roughly?
If thats what your talkin about.... I took mine out and didn't really notice any difference in sound or power....I just toke it out because it looked like it might be somewhat of a airflow restriction point...

Maybe they meant the airbox silencer. It sits right after the filter and MAS. It's attatched to the airbox.
