Car HelP?

i have 3-4k to spend on a car...i was gunna get a convertible but my mom doesn tlike that idea and i dont want a sports car cause im gunna have to pay for insurance too...but i want a decent ride...not a POS....like i was thinkin a Alero or prelude or cavalier....are those good cars?

Slow down guy a prelude? That's going to be some insurance right there.
If your just looking for a daily driven car then with not very high insurance then with $3-$4k let me think...hmmm...just get something that looks decent and you should probably get a 4 cylinder if gas is going to be a problem. Maybe like a civic, camry, accord, corolla, or anything like that. I'm also assuming you don't plan to throw any performance parts in there.

cavaliers are quite reliable, however their interiors are cheap, the seats are uncomfortable, and they handle pretty lousy for an economy car. Aleros are good cars, but you're going to have a hard time finding one that doesn't have something seriously wrong with it for under $4000. Preludes are also good cars, but to get one that cheap, you'll have to get one thats over 10 years old, which is risky with any car, especially because alot of preludes have been driven hard. I would test drive a Cavalier, Escort, Stratus, Sentra, and Corrola and buy the one that you like the best.

Would a Cougar be expensive?
