hey wuts up everybody? I have been having problems with my 98 prelude. I own the base model with a manual transmissionand it has about 81000 miles on it . I recently had problems with the clutch slipping so i replaced the master and slave cylinder because the clutch was replaced under a year ago. This did not solve the problem. I then brought my car to my mechanic and he said the clutch was bad and replaced it with a new one. Now wenever i drive the car the first ten minutes it drives fine but it seems like once it warms up the clutch starts slipping like crazy. Please any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

when i start driving the car the pedal feels fine......lets off about an inch or two from the floor, all shifting is smooth and the car pulls hard in VTEC. After about ten minutes of driving i first feel the pedal start to get harder and harder to push down, this is not a drastic change but enough to notice a difference. I know the clutch is slipping because at first i feel as if my car is being held back when i hit the gas, eventually when i hit the gas the rpms will jump but there is a delay from when the rpms go up to when the car actually accellerates. Within about 20 min of driving i can leave the car in gear with the clutch disengaged and it will just sit there or creep very slowly...even when i hit the gas it still refuses to move
as to the question about any noises the car sounds like it is fine and i do not hear any strange noise coming from under the hood or inside the car

i dunno, i feel that clutch lag too every once in a blue moon, and my clutch was replaced a few months ago. it could be bubbles in the lines. i've felt a slipping clutch. when you hit the gas and you see the tach go up and your speedo stay the same, thats a slipping clutch.

Maybe it could be a transmission problem?
