ok i dont want to spend 200 freaking dollars on an intake....right now i have a flexible plastic tube connected to stock airbox. i want to get an ebay knockoff they cost like 20 bucks but im not sure what one. if i get the crx intake is the throttle body the same diameter on the D16a6 as the B16A? also will the bend on it be at the right spot since i want the filter to be on the left side of the battery since im leaving the battery there. please dont leave me hanging

The B series TB is bigger than the D series.
Get the 90-93 Teg intake, it should fit without having to move your battery and will be the proper size for your motor.

for a short time we had the intake from GTA's old stock DX on our b16. here's a pic

you just have to make sure you clamp it down good, or it falls apart. now that intake is on a d16a6 and the b16 has the AEM CAI that was on GTA's d16z6 that came from EF/LSVTEC's b series :grinno:

I've had both the 88-91 Civ intake and 90-93 Teg intake. Dependant on the company of course, the Teg intake is definatley bigger. I've had two different no-name types and they were different sizes. I'm pretty sure Injen makes a bigger size intake tube for the D series, but no other companies that I know of.
You CAN use the D series tube no problem, but the B series one is slightly bigger.
I've used the Teg intake on mine, and so did a friend. (his was a CRX, similar no-name intake)
I went back to the stock air box with K&N filter because I like the way it looks with the stock box and the power difference between the two was minimal.

at the time we had the choice between buying a good intake vs. LSD tranny, the choice was easy to make. intake is much easier to add on later :grinno:
of course a b series intake will work better. i was taking the chance to disagree with you ;)
