This question is for all of you TPI guys. I have a 88 Iroc 5.7 that races at times but seems to eventually idle down but mostly runs around 1000 Rpm's. When I do the standard procedure to adjust idle the car runs perfect, idles perfect, everything until I shut it off. Then when I restart car it goes right back to high idle and sometimes get engine light. Sometimes it goes right off and sometimes it stays on. When car does the high idle it does eventually idle down. Sometimes it takes longer than other times but there seems to be no pattern.

So, what is the code that is set when the light comes on?

So, what is the code that is set when the light comes on?When I check codes I get (22,33 & 34). Today after getting these codes I have sinced purchased and replaced the MAF sensor which is the 33 & 34 code and TP Sensor(22 code) and reset codes, ran great until I shut car off and now is back to high idle and is now flashing codes 33, 34 & 36. I do not know what 36 is.

Looks like you replaced the MAF needlessly. Replace your MAF power and MAF burnoff relays. Also, check the wiring to the MAF sensor and check the pins in the harness connector at the MAF

The harness connector appears to be fine and the wiring to the MAF sensor appears to be fine. I didn't disassemble wire loom behind drivers side head, I can't see where it would of been cut/damaged or has been rubbing on anything. I will replace relays just as soon as I can find out which ones they are. :) Thanks!
