Rear Defrost

I'm new to the site and I'm wondering if anyone had added rear defrost to there silverado. I love my truck and would like to add this option to my truck. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've never needed that in a truck...

Have you ever lived in anchorage ak. That's where I'll be moving shortly. I think I'll need it up there.

I remember growing up in Montana in a climate that has more extremes than Alaska. If the frost and ice was still stuck to your truck windows than your engine was not warmed up properly. Seen to many people try to drive with humidity still forming on the inside of the truck after a small amount of the ice outside was not sticking.

It would be easy enough once you had a glass company replace the backglass with one with a grid. Then you could get the correct switch and components from the dealer and run your wires. Better get a schematic, because there is usually a capacitor in the system.

Nice option. Wish my truck had it, as it is frequently parked at the trailhead all day while I'm snowmobiling. I smell enough exhaust on the trails all day, so I'd rather not stand in it while loading up trying to defrost the glass with the engine running.
