Well here in BC, Canada you need to have a N for a year then a L for a year and then finally you get your full licence. Well I just got a car from my father that lives 5 hours from where I live, I only have a N right now and am wondering how I can bring this car up here without having someone else go with me (with your N you need to have a person 25 or older with you whenever you drive) The cops here dont really pay any attention to peoples driving (2 cop cars smashed into eachother for god sakes because one cop didnt pay any attention to where he was going!) Ive heard of one person being fined for driving alone with a N and that was because they where speeding at the same time.
Im wondering if I do get pulled over while driving up here with only a N if i can just tell the cop my father was in the car right ahead of me because we just bought this car while we where down on the coast on vaction, do you think i could get away with that?
aslo if I set up a airhorn on my car (not really street legal because its probly to loud) should I set it up on a seperate horn button for the airhorn and keep the stock horn too?

The law is the law is the law.
If the law requires you to drive with someone else, you must obey the law and do so. No exceptions.
Remember, driving is a privelege, not a right. You have to earn this privelege by obeying the law. Failing to do so may result in a suspension of your permit with subsequent delays in getting your real licence and possibly higher insurance.
As for the air horns, any horn thats legal for big trucks is legal for any motor vehicle. However, noise attracts cops and complaints from other motorists. If you make a nuisance of yourself with super-loud horns, you will only attract the attention of the cops, either with an 'excessive noise' ticket or complaints from others.

No that lie willnot work. Get an adult to go along, or don't make the trip. Because, yes in theory you may be a fine driver and not speed and not do anything wrong, and be doing fine...but then some other idiot could hit you and cause an accident...and then you would still be screwed because you were driving illegally...it just isn't a good risk to take.

Yes us canadians are a different breed :) (opens it wide open) I feel sorry for the younger generations, they have to put up with new laws concerning driving licences. There is always ways around it my friend. One option is to get insured not in alberta cuz its all private ins co and they will rip you off. ICBC is good, but your there. Do Sask. ins and plate, then you dont have to put up with ICBC bs :) Rates will be cheaper as well. Sask is cheapest in cana for rates.

For the airhorns just hook them up to a push button switch. Thats what i did with mine. Toggle switch and a push button. If the toggle is off the push button wont work. Works well for me.
