ok my guage is reading about 3/4 of the way up and it normally read just a little past the half way mark. I dont know if this is ok. I have changed my therostat, my water pump and I dont know if there is any other solution. I checked my oil and it is the same color that it was when I replaced it about 2000 miles ago. Can my guage be reading wrong or can my car just simply be running a little hot. I dont seem to have any other noticable problems other then the guage reading high.
Any suggestions? What can be the problem???

chagned coolant?
radiator leak?
if not then its your coolant seals (aka rebuild).

well if its the seals wouldn't i see some sort of milky oil or something different about the oil? I mean what happens when the coolant seals go? Can someone let me know whats going on?

try a coolant flush and add water wetter (http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/redline3.htm).
how often does it overheat, honestly my car does that too (one time it was close to the H mark when i was sitting in traffic) and sometimes when i'm running it real hard.
with my new motor i'm getting a new koyo radiator its like 30% bigger than stock (i thnk)
also check the rigidity of the hoses and replace them if you need to.

if that happens is traffic, as hard as it seems, open the air heater at max hot, it will cool off the engine bay

When the car is warm, check the operation of the fan clutch. Its probably the MOST overlooked aspect of the FC cooling.
All you do is pop the hood and feel how much air the fan is moving.. It should be a SIGNIFIGANT amount of air when the engine is OPERATING TEMPERATURE!

If coolant isn't gushing out of the overflow and/or not smoking while driving, I wouldn't suspect the seals. I agree with J-Rat...check the fan. The fan clutch commonly fails after 15-20 years. Does the temp tend to fall once you begin driving faster and rise in stop-and-go traffic or at idle?

the normal temp should be at the 1/4 mark for an S4
does the car spit coolant from the over fll tank?

no there is no smoke and yes the temp does go down a little when i am driving faster but how do i know how much air is really a proper amount? I do not believe it is the coolant seals. I will try the fan clutch. It looks very simple. My guage has never gotten really close to the H mark. But it was at the half way mark for a while and now after I changed my clutch it has started to run hot. Also it has not ever overheated yet. Thanx if you can think of any thing else just type it. Also I am guessing the guage measures the water temp and no the oil temp? Could it possibly be the oil cooler?

no it cant be the oil cooler, if its the case, you've lost ur engine already, hehehe
but it wont cause the water to heat up.
try to get a better radiator and an electric fac, thats what i'd do

I gotta disagree... I am not really a fan of the electric fan mod.
