Intermittent Audio system

The vehicle is a 2002 LTZ with the Bose premium system. Lately the system will not play (no sound). All the inputs apparently work as the dials are lit with information. I can change stations, inputs and volumes but no sound. What ever I did last will be there when the system comes on the next time.

I suspect the amp is intermittently not turning on. Anybody know where I can get a wiring schematic or what I should check? Its frustrating as its intermittent. It'll work in the morning but not in the afternoon.

Any sugestions would be appreciated.

I have an LT 02 with the Bose and indash changer, and I know the amp for the Bose system is in the back passengers side in the trunk inside the side panel. It is located right in front of the storage compartment, and is fairly easy to access. Pop the facades off until you can see the amp, each is held on with only a few clips. Other than checking the amp out, Im not much help as I havent had to install anything in my TB. Oh, the other thing is have you checked the connectors on the back of the radio? Hope you can find out whats wrong. Erik

The dealer stepped up and replaced the amplifier. I was right on the edge ... 36 mos but omly 30K miles. made all the difference in the world. It's the system I thought I was buying.
