I have been wondering about this for awhile but im not sure, now ont he 4th gens, the front quarter panel, right near the door... is that suppose to fin out a little bit? I at wondering if maybe it was lifted wrong at one point or if thats just the way they came, because its exactly like that on the other door too... its kinda hard to see on my profile pic but it kinda helps

if it is the same on both sides then i would guess that it is supposed to be that way... i would check the wrecked '97 z28 i have but the front clip is knocked off so it won't help me to look at it...

I know exactly what your talking about and my car does the same thing. I have looked on other 4th gens and have seen the same thing. So I assume that this is normal.

no that is not normal, that is from jacking the car up on the things that say "DO NOT JACK HERE", you know the little plastic things that look like you're supposed to jack the car up on. yeah well if you beat that flat piece of metal that says "DO NOT JACK HERE" back towards the middle of the car that part of the fender will tuck back in flush with the door.

i agree with LT1man on this, it happened to me when my dad tried jacking it there... still need to fix that too...

hhhmmm, well I have have your advice (LT1 man), but I also checked with some other people and some said "lets go get a rubber mallet!" while others said "take it to be checked out at a body shop. It was was bent that way once, im just afrain puttion it back to that 90 degree angle might make that plastic peice snap

Really its not a big deal, its not like the frame is dagamaged and it doesnt steer right, but it does look like it sprouted gills, vents, or a wide body kit... that would explain why that sorta dumb guy though my car was a vette...

so then should I try bending it back? Vice? Mallet?

Savage Messiah

depends how far its bent, Im thinking those long flat vice grips but make sure to readjust it, since the 2 sides of that tab will move a little differently... if that made sense?...

kinda but not really

the two sides to the fin... say it bent towards the outside. The outside part will be more bent than the inside part, and the botoms of them right now wont be lined up... itll get more lined up the more you bend it back into place, so if you kept something clamped tight the whole time it could mess something up

.... ummm... im retarded... generally I like having things shown to me, thats what works for me, I will just take it to the body shop across the street to ask him what it would take to fix it.... I know the guy so he should shoot straight with me
