88 TC Stutters when turbo kicks in

Has anyone had or heard about this problem. The car looses power and starts jerking when the turbo starts to spool up. The car runs perfectly if im easy on the accelerator which leads me to believe the turbo is dying. Is that a fair assesment?

Could be a bad sensor.

I fixed the problem. I think it was a combination of a couple of things. After I replaced the Cap, rotor(Borg-Warner), plugs and wires(Motorcraft) the problem got better but didn't go away. Then I replaced the fuel filter(GKI-Fram) and problem solved. I get worse gas mileage now. Total cost $60 at O'Reillys.

the reason your getting worste milage now is because your now driving it under more boost now :P. I'm going to assume your car is stock down to the IHI turbo. you can get wwover a 100000 miles on the IHIs etc. as long as you treat it right. But when/if your turbo goes, go to a T3 or bigger :P
