broken speed sensor in the wheels? is that the only thing that doesn't work or are there other things in your dash panel that doesn't work. check and make sure all your dash lights and everything work before you start tearing everything apart.

When my speedometer stopped working, it was the sensor in the tranny, it had snapped off...

I know this is an old thread. But after all this researching on the speed sensor there is NO solution as to how to fix it. All of the threads just say that "Oh your speedo isnt working because of your speed sensor"
It seem as though many dsmers have problem with there speedo, odometer including myself.
So if anyone can please post pics an/or a description on how to fix/repair the speed sensor and also where it is located on the tranny.
THANKS!

I got some pics iof a basic location. It's on the tranny on the top. If the Odometer and the speed doesnt work, that means the car thinks it standing stil the whole time. Which means the sensor is for sure broken/damaged. If it was just one or the other, it would be some other problem.
Take out the battery, the tray, and the windshield wiper resevoir. Its on the very top, even with the throttle body, right below it. Held on by 2 bolts (I think 10mm).
