Hi folks,
I thought i'd share my latest WIP with you guys, I hope you don't mind.
I started by removing the very minimal mould lines and Scripts/Emblems with a sanding stick. I will be replacing the scripts/emblems with Model Car Garage stock. I also opened up the trunk and painted it with Holts Regency Red.

I flocked the interior floor, painted the seats satin white and applied BMF for details. The speaker grille and the shifter chrome plate is from MCG.

I've wired the distributor and added plug boots (the coil is wired as well The chassis was given a wash and dry brushed with gunmetal and rust

got most of the BMF done. Finished the wheels and mounted the body to the chassis. Still to come, the MCG scripts and emblems, minor touches here and there, touch up some minor scratches on the body, (buff and wax) and this one will hopefully be done soon

Beatiful model! Even though the level of detail under the car is a little lower than some models seen here, the dry brushing gives it an incredible depth..
Good job on the paint too:D

You have to remember that the 1:1 car was made in 1962; there wasn't a whole lot of detail on the real thing:). I love this build!!:sunglasse

Thankks for the nice comments folks, i actually dropped this yesterday whilst i was inspecting it. (damn spider crawled out if it and scare me half stupid.)
It's in a few pieces at the moment, nothing that should cause too much of a problem. The body got a few scratces though, not sure if i'll bother to strip and repaint at this stage.

I've put the thing back together. I've installed the PE scripts and badges as well as the PE grille. You can see the damage in these two photos. I'm hoping to wet sand this area, and somehow fix it up, any suggestions?

And what started this whole mess anyway, flocking the boot! Still to come, I want to scratch build a tool box and tools. Also want to add a few interior touches like CD's magazine, sunglasses keys etc. I may turn this into a small diorama with a guy hitting another car and coming out to inspect the damage (i.e. the scratches at the front)

Great looking Impala dude! When I saw the "flaws" in the paint, my first thought was like; WOW, that looks soooo realistic, how the hell did he manage to get it that good?!!! But I guess the "flaws" won´t fit in with the overall theme of the car.
Good luck either way!
