Dealer Run Around

A few of you might have seen my new car,the Red/Purple looking Trans Am. Well I picked it up on Monday for around 7800$ and it only had 60k on the motor. Perfect condition..or so it seemed and I was told only 1 owner that babied it. I gave the car a walk around and checked it out seemed fine to me. Car fax came up clean besides the fact that between 95-02 one owner had it. Than for 17k the dealer drove the car, yet insisted only one owner, to me, thats two owners.
Here is where I made my mistake, I trusted the dealer enough to think he wasn't going to rip me off. First he promised me new brakes and an oil change before I picked the car up. Fast foward to now and I found out that he left the dirty oil in the car put a new sticker in the window that says it was changed and only did the front brakes, he claims he only promised me the fronts and not the rear, total bullshit.
So I take it to my mechanic, now I feel like he ripped me off. The mechanic as soon as I pull up goes "what the...this things been in an accident", apparently the alignment seemed off to him, later on I find out the frames creased or some shit, and the paint doesn't match exactly right. I feel retarded for missing this. The reason I didn't have my mechanic check it out BEFORE I bought it was because the car was over an hour from where I live and it was such a deal to drive all the way there back and forth, seemed fine to me, I know, stupid trust me I kicked myself in the ass about it enough. :loser:
1.Water pump is leaking
2.Front tires are bald
3.Been in an accident
4.Rear brakes need replacing
5.Shocks/Suspension is original, will need replacing
6.Oil is dirty and was not changed
7.A few covers need replacing, shoulda been done when serviced
8.Fluids need replacing soon (tranny etc)
9.Dime sized hole in the muffler which appears to be rusting
10.Broken fog light (knew about that)
I bring it back to the dealer with the report and I said this and this and this is wrong and I have a 30 day warranty on everything mechanical fix it. He tells me he isn't going to fix anything until he has it checked out himself. I said you can inspect it all you want, but my mechanic said those things are problems and I expect you to fix it as I am still covered under the warranty. The mechanic told me if the dealer fights me on certain things on the brakes or the pump to report him because thats illegal. He's already been reported to the States Attorney General. Especially the brakes as he promised me those would be fixed and than only does the fronts. At this point I wish I had bought a damn cavalier hah it woulda cost me less and had less miles on it. :lol2:

That sucks. Hense why people call them Stealers and not Dealers. My stealer(toyota) wanted 65 for ONE key fob(2 pieced of plastic) for my Camry(99 in sig). I laughed in the parts guy's faced and said fuck it I'll just buy a toggle switch to unset the alarm. The original switch broke. He wanted over 300 to install a new switch. I was like no thanks I can do it myself.

I'm sorry you had a bad dealer experience, not all dealers are like this and the ones that are give the good one's a bad name. I would definately report their ass though. That shit aint right.

The other day I test drove a wrangler because I missed mine and I bitched to the dealer about how the shocks were rough. Motherfucker has the audacity to go: "no those aren't bad shocks. See, that's flat spots in the tires, since it's been sitting there for so long!"
Most times I just laugh at what they say on the inside. This I couldn't stop myself. And I asked him what kind of person he thought I was and if the rest of his clientelle were actually dumb enough to fall for his hustling...

Why the hell do dealers always try to scam somebody in someway? I guess because the scammed money goes in their pocket? I experienced that a few months back with my 96. fuckin liers....

Yeah I know they gotta make money, it pisses me off when they lie about big things. You expect a little lie here or there about how that scratch got on your bumper, but telling me it hasn't been in an accident when its been hit hard enough to crease the frame cracks me up.

the messed up part is the little they get it for. Then they try to hide everthing that is wrong with. Atleast for a few days when you have the car. Then they sell it to you for way more than it actually worth. Money in the pocket for them. All they have to do is log it for what is is worth in the inventory and sell it for what they want outside. Money straight in the pocket.
