Here's a quick build of a Tamiya Porsche 935, kit 24001. Rear wheels look oversized and the worse fitting glass parts I've ever seen in a model. I remade the windshield and rear glass with Squadron Thermaform. Turned the gas and oil tank caps on the lathe. I tried a new weathering technique on this one. I used a Badger Air Eraser (a miniature sand blaster, used glass beads) and blasted away the paint on the front spoiler and the decals on the rear fenders. The effect on the painted parts is very realistic. The decals, a little less realistic as the decals flaked away instead of wearing away like the real thing. Not bad...

Nice! I Great looking build. I like the weathering. A great old classic Porshce. Is this a rerelease from Tamiya? I've been looking for this one for quite a while.

Let's see the oil and gas caps!

I've had this one for a few years. They come up on Ebay occassionally. Detail pics ...

Damn. I'd hoped that since rereleasing the BMW 320i (24002), that this one might follow.

Great detail pics, I like the filler caps. I always like how a bit of machined aluminum can make a big difference on a kit. The intake screen is your addition, also? I like the sandblasted look, it's a terrific weathering effect. Bit of a shame the decals didn't cooperate quite so well.

I added the screen in the rear fender. The radiators are visible in the real thing.

Good work! I like your idea on the weathering!
I'll have to look out for the squadron thermaform, is it just clear plastic sheet?

Love this car, the rear end is just so fat and the stance is vicious. Real nice build too. Sweet...
