what's up folks, long time reader, not much on posting though, and finally ran into a problem with my car. I decided to take it out for a spin last night, and after about 30 minuetes or so, my car stalled on me, and didnt feel like starting again, well i was near a down hill so i just jump start it and headed home, about 15 minutes later, my lights started to die out, and then completely died, nothing worked in the car except the engine, then it ended up stalling again, so i pushed it into a small street and left it there for the time being. Came back with my dad to help me tow it home, car fired back up right away, I drove it home and then it died right after i parked it, checked it out in the morning, and the battery was completely drained... I checked all the fuses, checked the alternator belt, checked the alternator...well the belt was still there, alternator spins, fuses all seem fine. I'm hoping u guys can help me out, as much info as possible is GREATLY appreciated since i only have experience in body work and this is my first car. btw, we're talking about a 1988 lx...all stock

By checking the alternator did you take it off and take it to a shop to have it tested? I'd take the battery in with you also to have it checked. Both tests are free at most auto parts stores.

I have had a shorted battery in my truck that did something similar to that. May want to take the battery in first and if you have to then alt.
