Crazy ideal but need help!

I recently thought to myself why pay the 5000$ for a supercharger when all I want is the sound? Does anyone know any tricks to do to the air intake that would make it whistle like a supercharger? I was thinking of putting something in the front of it. Would this cause any posential problems to the engine? What else could I do? Any ideas?

It's called a gear drive. It replaces your timing chain. Pete Jackson makes them and they sell in Jegs magazine and probably Summit as well. They make them specifically extra noisy if you want 'em that way.

Dumb remark. It sounds good but its kinda like they guy who has a truck that sounds like a heavy hitting V8 but its running a 2.2L.

ebay has theses little things you screw in to someone elses tail pipe to make it whistle, it sounds super charged if you wanna go that rought

Sometimes people need a reality check and see that people will laugh at them when they make their truck to sound like something it isn't.

This is not a problem, nor does it need a solution, this is someone that needs to learn that posing will get him laughed at.

i complelty agree with you LT however you couldda said it in a nicer way ya know.... after all hes just a kid that wants the **** on a car but hey its his money not mine nor yours and it'll give us something to chucle at ...

good comment BlazerLT. what are you trying to accomplish with just the sound. it you want it to sound really cool just take off the whole exhuast, it will sound wicked then, and you'll be just as lame. you should have said stupid idea not crazy.

Seriously though, in a couple years I'm going to buy an old geo prism, gut it and mod the firewall, chassis, and build a tubular rollcage and transplant an ls1 and convert to rear wheel drive. It would be a very sweet sleeper.

My gf has a prism lsi, you could change the emblem's "i" to a "1". I also want to get the custom license plate: "ITSAGEO"

plus i feel realy dumb when someone with a "cool sounding" car pulls up, and wants to race, and i beat them by 12 car lenghts because theres nothing there at all

better put wheelie bars on it - I'd be afraid of flipping over! LOL!!!!!

I installed a throttle body spacer on my truck and i didnt know it was going to whistle like it does. the only thing you get out of adding it is just the noise.

Actually, it has been proven to reduce horsepower on most 4.3L engines.
