1994 Engine Fuse Blows

I have a 1994 Dodge Caravan 3.0 liter engine with 200,000+ miles on it.
When I crank the engine, the engine system fuse blows. The car turns over, but dies as soon as it starts to catch. Then it turns over but no fire gets to the coil. I replaced the computer(with one from a used parts dealer), but still blew, so put the original back in. The person working on the van says the wires look alright (the ones under the hood.) We've replace the distributor cap, coil, and rotor (since we didn't realize the fuse was blowing, and they did need to be replaced.). The wires/plugs were replaced a month or so before it died.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
*edit* it still has the battery that was in it when I got it (5 and a half years ago). Thinking about getting a new one, but don't want to do that unless a) it's the problem, or b) it gets fixed.

which fuse is blowing? The #16 keeps blowing on mine. Have you had any luck since your last posting? My van will run maybe 30 mins. before dying...then I wait half hour to put another fuse in and runs fine for only 30 mins....dealer can't figure out the problem. Any ideas? thanks
