turbo cut off

i got a 98 intergra vtec with greddy turbo kit and intercooler. brought the car like this. everytime i run up to 5000rpm to 7000rpm it will just cut off and check engine light come on. and after that it won't let me run pass 3000rpm until i shut the car off and restart the car again. the only thing i don't have on my car is the missing link map sensor. i got injector and fuel pressure regulator and runing at 8 psi. anyone can give me any feed back it will help thanks.

you probably have check valves installed. get the Missing Link MAP bypass valve.

what's happening is the MAP sensor is seeing boost, and when it does, the ecu trips a check engine light and pretty much shuts down the motor and goes into limp mode.

also, if you have the A'pexi VTEC AFC, set the VTEC x-over to stock rpm and reset all your fuel values to zero... the VAFC falses the ECU into pumping more fuel by altering MAP sensor signals. by falsing more fuel, the ECU thinks it sees boost from the MAP sensor and cuts out.
