Theres a street run of that car making 576whp. Last time I talked to Ivan, he said he prolly wasn't gonna do a street video of the 638whp. You have to understand that 638whp in a 240 is useless at any sane street speed. Watch the 576whp street runs and you'll see why.

These videos are made for proof more than anything. They are freaking cool, but if you just go online and say "hey I made 638whp!", then people expect videos/graphs.

Thats the wack part. This is one of the top KAs boasting 640WHP while the top SRs in japan have been doing 950+WHP for a while now. thats fair enough power but the best KA is still doing 250+ less HP than the top SRs.

yeah its only a matter of time before someone busts out a T51 or a T66 with a 4" downpipe and a 3 in 1 intercooler.

Fair Enough. I'm tired of seeing threads with "look what my KA did with shitty stuff, but it could do...". get the damn parts and come back with the number you claim you can do. Also I see alot ok KA guys halfassing shit. the KA has made less power than the SR not because its a weaker motor but because noone has thrown the best of the best on yet. I see them throw down decent power on Cast Manifolds, 20yr old design turbos, wack ass cams. and then say "yeah look at what it did with this wack stuff" what it could do doesnt matter if it never materializes.

CLIFF NOTES: Right now the 100% KA is at a 70% SR. its not the motors fault its just people not getting down and dirty. so Get good crap because "well it could do..." doesnt matter. BENCH RACING SUCKS

Werd RW. I guess you could definately call my setup "half-assed," But that is the result of shitty pay. And it works well enough for me. At least here in the next two weeks, I'll be ECU tuned with 615 injectors. Then not so bad.lol

Yea, I say they could definately use some 3" charge pipes(at least 2.75" to match the TB), a larger IC or meth injection, and prolly a larger exhaust. IDK, we'll see.

Theres someone who does the "Imagine what it could do," in every type of car. I mean, I wonder what SRs were like when people first started tuning them. Prolly not much different. People having to fabricate a lot of stuff, special order, ect. Now the SR has pretty much dominated the aftermarket parts industry. I say its more popular than B series honda swaps anymore. Even domestic guys know what an SR is.lol

Plus that car is being paid for by customers AFAIK. That car is a customer car.

SR has always been popular in Japan, it's just that here, people latch on to trends, the SR was a trend, I'm not saying it's not a good engine, it's a great engine, but the reason people started getting them is because of drifting, not because it was a good engine.

Actually i have heard the mustang dynos produce 11% less than what a dyno jet will show, i remember back from when driftking dynoed his car on a mustange dyno...

Actually it was MyNismo, wasn't it? And yeah, I'm pretty sure it's 11%. What's drivetrain loss, like 25%? If so then Iven has 885hp at the crank which is 5.7 times the stock number....HOLY FUCK!!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!1

Drivetrain loss is usually 18-20%.

no, i think it was driftking because he had his car dynoed at 177 and it was 11% less than a dyno jet, so he technically made about 197hp on his SR..
