Intake

Ok question. My girlfriend has a 1993 laser with a 1.8. I didn't want to go through the hassel of a cold air intake becasue of the sensor and because it is only a 1.8. I got a k&n thought but i was wondering will the motor run differently if i swiss cheese or drill a bunch of holes in the metal canister thingy that holds ther filter? or is there an easier route to take

Just cut the top part of it off. Just keep enough to to hold on the filter.

leave it all together then you get the air thats ducted up from the bumper instead of sucking up hot engine bay air. just get the drop in k&n filter and a hard pipe
