Wanna hear a cam'd LS1 with open headers??

I have recently been a little short on cash, so I decided it was time to get the current headers sold. Well, I needed to remove the cats and the y-pipe first before pulling off the headers. I had to go to a shop thanks to the idiot that originally installed these headers.
Since I am upgrading headers, and I already have the new ones, I figured no big deal. So I had to drive the car open headers yesterday for a couple miles.

Check it out....Oh, and I never took it over 3,200 RPM's. :lol:

drooool... i bet it sounds even better in person.. my 76 is open headers right now and she sounds deep as a mofo'

I had open headers on my 383 LT1 with a LT4 profile custom grind cam and had to take it to a exhaust place to get the Y pipe welded in and it may just be cause its threw the PC but my car sounded louder than anything mechanical I have ever heard before. It was raddling my neighbors windows from a mile down the road without even revving it up. Your car actually sounds good that way though. Performance wise though. How did it feel?

I never got into it. I don't trust all the heat that comes out of those headers with no turndowns. No worth frying something.

Yeah, I got on mine for a sec though and it didn't feel as fast as when threw the catbacks system. I think it was from loss of backpressure but might have also been registering mad knock as it was loud as hell.
