if your like me (a gt head extreme fan of gt series) go on to arcade mode, time trial then select the track and the skyline you are in.
then if you can be bothered race that track over and over again until you race like me (like the cpu drivers) with a perfect racing line.
then go on to the race and try to get your drafting perfect...... it should be easier now.
I will soon try to get a video up of me completing it so you can copy that.
any q's or if u are unsure on anything PM me,
chris

I can manage second place with that car and I think my best was 6 seconds behind first place. Try to stay with the pack of Skylines and just draft off of each other, let them pass you and then draft them and pass them back and just do that repeatedly. That helps a lot I think becuase it increases your average speed, if only the pussies wouldn't slow down in the corners and keep up with me I could probably pass it.
Btw dantheman...I'm almost catching up to you, I have 92.5% done, I have two more races, one in the Nissan, and one somewhere else in the Japan manufacturer's, and 11 or so Driving missions, those are the fucking hard ones though. I don't know if I'll ever be able to pass some of those 3 lap battles.
Edit. I'd do that Nurburing 24 hr first, you win the Formula car, then, and if you just want game completion and aren't too picky just throw that car in the other two enduro's.
The Formula Championship is a bitch to win, third attempt I think I won it because I did most of it in b-spec, I ended up going back and starting most of the races myself then changing to b-spec once I thought I had a good lead on them. I have three more races in there that I need to get gold's in though, I ended up just not caring the last couple races cuz I knew I would win the championship.

What you have to do is get behind one of the skylines and draft him until you run into him and are pushing him. From there you stay on his tail and push him through the corner and through the straight-away. And once the second turn comes up, you pull out from behind the skyline right before he slows down for the corner. This way you will mash around the corner. Once the 2nd corner is over you line yourself up with the skyline you were just tailing and let him draft you (you may have to let off the throttle a little) until he comes up and passes you. From here, you get right behind him again and push him through the corner and straight away again. And then you get out from behind him right before he throws on the brakes going into the corner. Just repeat that process.
It may take some time and practice, but this is how I beat it. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Shifted into 6th draftin that first place bastard and got to 175 and took the inside and kept that until I crossed the finish line. Could have had it three times by now cept the black and white car put my in the wall.
2nd place, the yellow fucker, was 7:04.487, and third was 7:06.213. Suckas.

the easiest way to do this is draft upto the 2nd place postion, then have the cars behind you just ram into you, each time they hit you, your car will go faster, around the turns, go as deep onto the turn as you can, right near the yellow line, then back to the racing line on the straights, and have them hit you again. you'll pass the 1st place guy on the last lap.

I tried doing that except for three times in a row I got pushed into the wall. I found the easiest way was to draft off of them right before the turn so you could enter the turn going 175 mph or more and then they draft off of you on the back stretch and get in front and you just have to wait for the right time to start drafting off of them again.
