Hi Everyone. I just bought this 92 Suzuki Swift and have discovered that the Metro is its twin. (Didn't know this) so maybe someone can help me with this. Anyway, I've had the car less than a week and the headlights have quit working. The dash lights and turn signals all work fine. I've checked the fuses....all OK. Could you please give me an idea as to what I can check next or look for. Hope you can help. Can't afford repair shop and especially don't want to have my head ripped off. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's been gone over a few times, but take a look underneath your dashboard. There's a white fuse box. You'll see a harness with a lot of green wires that plugs into the fusebox. Those come from the column switch. Unfortunately, the MK2-3 metros/swifts didn't use a headlight relay, the current went through the switch and the fusebox, then to the headlight. This causes a large amount of heat at that harness that plugs into the fusebox. If you take it out, and bend the pins(with the battery disconnected) slightly, like 1/2mm, or 1mm to the side, clean the terminals up with a Q tip and alcohol, and plug the harness back in, it should fix your problem. You'll probably notice the harness plug has burn marks on it too from the heat.
