They found my car. 4-27-05

Well, I get a call today, saying my car was found. The police tell me nothing, only that it is not driveable. Then, they use their towing company, not the one I specifically told them to use. Now I have to pay their ridiculous impound fees. :banghead: The car was found at 1840 West 340 North, in SLC for the lcoal people.

I feel I am VERY lucky, they did not take more. The other blue Si in the impound yard, was stripped clean. They took my Skunk2 Strut bar, AEM CAI, NOS brand nitrous kit, and my valve cover. They also took my brand new sunglasses, and my daughters car seat. Fuckers. They also hit something, and fucked the bumper, headlight, hood, and fender up. The interior is dirty, and trashed. They keyed my roof, and my hood. The hood has, "have a nice day" keyed in it. Fuckers will get their ass handed to them if I ever find them. I will have no problem knocking the shit out of the bitch either. They drove the car without the valve cover, as there is oil all over the engine bay. But, the oil level still reads on the dipstick, so hopefully no damage was done to the engine. I will be towing it home tomorrow, and going over it very carefully, to find stuff that is wrong. Oh, and of course, the ignition lock and switch are busted up. It looks like they popped the steering column plastic apart, and used something big to bust the ignition lock.

Glad you got it back. Good thing not much was missing. I don't know if you were planning on doing more upgrades, but you could probably buy a CF hood, and get a used bumper.

At least you got your car back. Is insurance going to be covering anything at all? You should consider getting the darkest window tint your state allows, so fuckers can't see what's inside your car and steal parts. I'm thinking that the fuckers probably have a Honda Civic, or that they're selling it on ebay. If you ever find they, beat the living crap out of them. Fire a few rounds from a shotgun or something.

You should probably just leave the hood, fenders, headlights and bumper just like that and keyed up for the time being. That way, you may get less chance of theft. After you get enough performance parts under the hood, then you should go and find a decent body-kit or OEM, and paint over the parts that need to be painted.

Honda's are pretty easy to get into, without breaking windows. They did get into both the other cars, I guess they either did not want them, or could not get them started.

Late model Acura Integra's. Security was watching from a block away. By the time anyone could get there, they were gone.

I didnt have full coverage on the car. So everything will have to be out of pocket to repair. So, I will probably park the car for awhile, and fix it up.

I dont think the house it was dumped at, was theirs. They obviously drove it with how much oil was all over.

I asked the detective what kind of info he would need to make a arrest. He pretty much said he would need a confession. So, I weighed the options, and figured it a waste of time to hang up flyers with the $2500 reward info.

In the middle of moving a shop up to Ct from east quoge someone I know had a 73 Mustang stolen. I saw it going down the road in the truck I was driving for him with his company name on the trailer. I got in front and got on the CB with some truckers and called the cops. Now everything stays under lock and key. The car was stolen from his front(side) yard. Needless to say we got the car back safe and sound. They idiot thief even put gas in it!
