about my tires????

When i got my bike i saw that the tire in the front was bigger than the stock size, just one size up. Do you guy's think this could be hurting the ride at all? Just wanna know sence i have it apart.

not 100% sure but i think it will turn slower and be less responsive.

i know guys with 954's drop one size to increase response and make it turn easier so i guess the reverse applies

you probably got more stability and better bump absorption. but that's odd, I prefer going one size up for the rear and keeping the front stock size if it ever came to that. on your next tire, get the stock size for front.

Depends on which measurement you're talking about. Width or aspect ratio, or both? Higher aspect ratio could give a smoother ride at the expense of some handling. I would never recommend a wider tire on the front of a bike (130 vs 120), but changing the sidewall height is a common practice.(60 to a 65)

The tire is just taller not wider. I don't want to just get another tire, it has really good tread and tire are not cheep.

I just wanted to make sure I was not in any danger as far as i could go down easer or anything.

if your used to riding it with that tyre then anything else will feel strange.

my shocks on my gixer were shot when i bought it and i had no idea. i got used to it and when i fixed 'em it felt weird. i could corner better but it still felt weird for awhile.

i hang out at another site just for cbr's and more so for rr's (yes we are special in more ways than one :icon16: ) and tyre size comes up quite often. although i've only ever gone for replacements so i can't personally comment on the effects, these guys tend to drop from a 190 rear to a 180 so to "fall" into the corners better
