Hi Guys!
I have a 1995 dodge caravan with 3.3L engine. The van has 100,000miles on it and I have two problems with it. First it idles rough and second when you put the transmission in park after driving it the engine rpm drops down to 500rpm for a few seconds and then returns to normal idle speed. Other than this the van runs great. No codes on the computer. Here is the list what I tried to fix the problems:
New plugs-wires-airfilter-pcv valve-oxygen sensor-fuel filter and the throttle body cleaned.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can try checking your engine and tranny mounts, especially the one in the front. This has always been a prob with these vans. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply jawss. I removed and cleaned the idle motor and that fixed my idle rpm problem. The front motor mount was changed last year. How do you check the other two mounts? Thanks.

Give it a good once over looking/listening for vacuum leaks.

The other mount to keep and eye on is the driver side one. Its under the battery and a little hard to get at. If I remember right, the best way to see it is to remove the drivers wheel and check the mount throught the wheel well. If the rubber is cracked or stretched, it should be replaced as well. Im glad you got your idle prob fixed.
