Caravan Transmission filter removal

I decided to change the transmission fluid in my newly purchased 2001 Caravan Sport. After removing the pan and letting the oil drain out, I discovered there were no bolt/screws to remove the filter with. How is this removed? I can wiggle it around a bit but I can not find what is holding this in place. I bought a replacement filter before doing this but is doesn't look anything like the one on there so I can't refer to it for figuring out how to remove the current one.

Thanks,
Dave

The filter snaps on to the bottom of the tranny, no bolts to take out just give it a good pull and it will come off. Make sure the O ring comes off with the filter and the new filter has a new ring on it. (Usually it’s orange color) Good luck

Hey-

Thanks for the info. I just didn't want to start prying on it if there was some specific way of removing it.
