holy fuck, how can some people get a fucking licence.

driving on a highway, 3 lanes on my side, i move to the left-most lane, not realising that it ends about 200m further down.

i put on my indicator, and see a tiger mica SS pull up in the lane next to me, and wait behind me, then just as i go to pull over, he speeds up and cuts me off just when the lane ends...... so i have a choice.. hit him,,, or go off the road

i go off the road and mum yells "pole" and i swerve and miss a pole by 1 fucking foot, at 110kph and hit the dirt and slam the brakes on and come to a stop.

i then see this cunt of a commodore drive away like nothing fucking happened.

i then got to my destination, and sat in the car while mum went in....

then it sunk in and i started to shake, then i broke down.

BTW: i'm on L plates

if i ever see that car again, the owner can expect the full wrath of a tyre iron, keys, and faeces all over his "ever so precious" SS.

IMO, it's the asshole behind the wheel that isn't paying attention or plans to run you off the road. I hate them too.

He should go to jail for being stupid.

Too bad there's no criminal penalties for being stupid.

There is, its called negligence. If he was forced off the road, the other driver could be ticketed. But I only know that is true about Wyoming.

It's true in most places, but try to prove that without a video when the other driver keeps going.

Its things like this that make me wish we had this law ive had running around in my head. Everyone gets to kill one person, you have one get out of jail free card. You could have used yours there.

ignorance is bliss and there are a lot of happy customers. I know how you feel, man. Some lady cut me off going to work today while I'm doing 75 on the interstate just trying to get to the off ramp 3 LANES OVER and almost caused a 20 car wreck. It was a miracle of God that I didn't wreck and kill myself.

lol every time i go to saint louis i get shit like that. People in the far left lane of FIVE FUCKING LANES OF TRAFFIC all of the sudden just swerve across every lane to get to the off-ramp. Shit woudl be hilarious if it wasn't freaky as shit. But by far, the worst traffic I've ever seen was in Atlanta. MY GOD... bumper to bumper doing 85 on the highway. Then Some dood in a pickup truck loses a matress that comes flying RIGHT at me. I swerve, in bumper-bumper traffic, which is a MIRACLE I didn't hit anyone. Then swerve back into the lane just in time to notice the pickup truck had STOPPED. in the middle of one of the center lanes of a 6-lne freeway in rush hour traffic doing 85. I had to swerve to the OTHER lane on the OTHER side after I noticed. Was mildly traumatic.

I don't like the VT's all that much, the VX's are night.

SS's range from mid 80's (SS VL a.k.a Walkinshaw) right through to the VZ, so I had to make sure what model.

Sorry for the dumb question

ok, the commodores are the four door that the Pontiac GTO is derived from. i think that the commodore is available as a Chevy Lumina in the USA.

the SS has the Gen III v8. a detuned corvette engine.

walkinshaw was a special edition model of the commodore in the late 80's (i think). it was also known as a Walky, or the plastic pig.

VZ, VL, VX = these are the model designations, they let us know the body style, it runs alphabetically

The Holden Commodore is an Australian designed and made car. It runs off a modified European Opel V-Body (Making it RWD), hence all the V's before the model designations.

Engines available at the moment are an LS1, LS2 or 3.6 Alloytec V6 as per the CTS. Previous engines have included Holden made 5.0's and 5.7's, Buicks 3800 Series II and Nissan RB30 engines.

The car is not sold as a Lumina in the US, however it is sold as a Lumina in South Africa, Brazil and the Middle East. The 2 door Monaro is sold in the US as a Pontiac GTO.

Ok, I am on my L's also, and own a VL. Have to remember though, don't put shit on the car, its all on the driver. Simply because of those stories on A Current Affair about "hoon drivers" which shows this dicked on his Ps doing a nice big burnout in his VL Turbo. Now all other VL enthusiasts (belive it or not, some people like the car itself, not cause it can drop a fully sick coola dose while driving through crowded areas).

But working in the trade really shows you that there are some absolute nutters out there behind the wheel. Did a basic service on a Holden Cruize the other day and counted 6 or 7 dents all around the car (not including all the scratches) all of which had leftovers from somebody elses paint work in it. The dude who owned it was too stingy to do the brakes in it, even though his disks were as worn out as the average ford after it leaves the production line (:lol2:) and the brake pads had as little meat left on them, as your average store bought piece of steak...

About 6 months ago (before I bought the VL off my brother) my brother got into the car (where it had been parked for about half an hour) started the engine and got a phone call, so he gets his phone out and looks up to see a truck backing into it. Luckily was all panel damage, but requires about $500 in parts and too this day still hasn't payed for it. Could take him to court, but the costs involved, and the money lost from not being at work would hardly make it worthwhile.

There are some knob jobs on the roads around here for sure. Try the idiots who don't have any idea which lane to be in for North Sydney / Harbour Bridge / Harbour Tunnel and go screaming across 7 or so lanes of traffic at about 90. Nerve wracking to say the least. Personally, I would have slammed on the brakes, overtake the fuckwit and slam on the brakes and done his insurance big time for hitting me, but I'm a twisted fuck.

The RB30's were available in the commies from the VB, VC, VK, and VL, the VN, VP and VR had the buick 3800, the VS, VT, and I think the VY had the alloyteckies (I know the VS, and VT did).

I have a VS, the ECOTech 3800, it's a bit of a slug, but usually only in 2nd gear at a low speed, and 3rd at low speed. On take off it's pretty good, 0-100 in 7.5 seconds (w/power button on).

There is a 7Lt V8 out there, but it's a unique car, it's a HSV Maloo Ute, worked 6.0. I was reading about it in streed commodore's magazine,mmm...it's nice.. Almost 400kw of brute power at the wheel.
