Okay- if it's not one thing it's another. Now that I've got the CEL to stop blinking, the backlight for the dashboard has gone out. I looked in the owner's manual, but couldn'd find anything related to dashboard lights. All other lights and instruments function properly, I just can't see the tach or speedometer at night.
Which fuse is for the dashboard backlights?
Mcuhas gracias.

Stupid question, but ... did you check the dimmer switch?

Yes, it was the first thing I tried. I suppose it could have completely failed, because it has no affect. I still am not sure which fuse goes to these lights.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Ha! I found the blown fuse. Only after discovering that my parking lights were also out. I found a fuse in the engine compartment fuse box labeled F-12 15-A (Tail Light); sure enough it was blown. I had borrowed a friend's utility trailer which must have a short circuit somewhere in the wiring.
Anyway, if anyone else loses their dashboard lights, be aware that they are on the same circuit as the parking lights.
Ciao
