trunk motor

my trunk automatic motor well is slow, and blows. how would i get it to run faster, and not need my hand to help it go faster, cuz it takes about 10 seconds to close. its ok for like 2 secs, then it bogs...any ideas?

either im really tired because i havent gone to bed yet (6:30am E), or i seriously have no idea what yur talkin about.. im assuming you mean the automatic hatch release? and if thats the case, then i have no idea why it takes time for it to close.. because mine locks when i slam it down..

I know what he talking about. I don't know about 4th gens, but some 3rd gens have a trunk motor. When you close the trunk, it catches at the latch and the motor pulls it down until it locks. whoisdabomb86, it takes 10sec.? Damn mine only takes about 4sec. I assume maybe the motor is on its way out? And how the hell would you go about changing it? Looks like it can be complicated.

It was a 3rd gen thing, and they die ALL THE TIME. Replace it, you can prolly get one real cheap at a junkyard or from someone who parts out cars, if you want give me your email I kno my friend has a few lying around to sell for cheap.

mine does the same thing. ive got to fix my wires im only getting 10 volts to it check the voltage to it. just a thought
