clutch muffler pricing 89 crx si

I need a new clutch and new muffler (whole system, not just end piece, cause it's all rusted).

I"m quoted:
clutch $700
muffler $200

I live in a smaller metropolitan area 200K people, things are relatively cheap in this city. am i getting had by my mechanic? any info greatly appreciated.

$700 for a clutch??? I dunno, I usually dont pay a mechanic and usually do it myself (with those prices it reminds me why), but that seems a tad high...

Muffler for $200 dosnt sound bad at all tho, actually seems kinda low...

that clutch is way high , i got mine for 200 wrapped in kevlar (stock) . and I got my exhaust (cat back custom made) for 150 with a muffler.

If it is a stock clutch replacement, that is way high - should be under $400 imo. As for the muffler, it's not bad, but if it's just a stock cheap one, I'd say it's a little high too.

Hmm, so custom exhausts are really that cheap? Good too know, I need a mid pipe made for my exhaust from the axle to the cat...

This is not just for the pieces, but for the labor as well. Still think I should go elsewhere?
